To raise the majority of funds to buy the Black Horse we have created a Community Benefit Society, Dry Drayton Community Enterprises Ltd., which will issue shares to investors. This is a great way for members of the community to own part of and therefore preserve a local asset which will hopefully generate them a steady return.
We are in the process of setting up the formal share offer. We are applying to HMRC for SITR, tax relief on these shares so investors can purchase them at (effectively) at a discount of up to 30%.
To gauge the potential level of investment we could raise before launching the formal share offer We are currently asking for pledges from potential investors.
